Overview

RiverSpring Living is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Foundations & Government Grants to join our dynamic team in our Development Department!

 

RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions, including nursing home care, managed long-term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services, and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the AVP of Foundations & Government Grants will focus on building and managing relationships with foundations, government agencies, and funding entities. This position will collaborate with the Chief Development Officer, the Weinberg Center for Elder Justice, and other senior staff to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans through grant writing, reporting, and compliance to achieve financial goals for RiverSpring Living’s programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of government grants and private foundation funding.
  • Ability to seek new funding opportunities, think creatively about funding programs and sources and sustain existing ones.
  • Lead the grant writing process, from proposal development to submission and reporting.
  • Monitor grant compliance, ensuring timely submission of all required reports.
  • Review RFPs and advise staff on grant applications.
  • File electronic applications using City, State, and Federal government portals.
  • Liaise with the Finance department to establish accounts for awarded proposals.
  • Maintain records of grants and renewal dates, report due dates, and ensure staff members are notified.
  • Coordinate preparation of renewal proposals and notify financial management of report due dates.
  • Serve as the primary contact for funding proposals, directing inquiries as needed.
  • Facilitate program/contract renewals in collaboration with program directors.
  • Manage the preparation and production of proposals, ensuring compliance with funding agency policies.
  • Maintain searchable files of past proposals and adapt existing materials for new proposals.
  • Represent RiverSpring Living at community meetings with elected officials and organizations as needed.
  • Utilize technical skills for operating within NYC, NYS, and Federal grant portal sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar or transferable role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000 annually
