Director of Life Enrichment

RiverSpring Living is seeking a Director of Life Enrichment to join our dynamic team for our Senior Living Community!

The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.  RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Senior Housing, Director of Life Enrichment will enhance the lives of our residents through meaningful programming and activities. This role involves creating a comprehensive calendar of events that promotes social engagement, intellectual stimulation, and recreational interests, all aimed at fostering independence within our vibrant community.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement day-to-day activities and programs that enrich residents' lives.
• Create a diverse and inclusive calendar of events that fosters community ties and supports personal interests.
• Oversee community-wide and off-site programs that exceed active aging expectations.
• Manage and supervise engagement coordinators, independent contractors, wellness vendors, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in recreation therapy or a related field.
• Minimum five years of related experience, including three years in a supervisory role and one year as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Experience in Dementia/Alzheimer's care with a focus on programming and social services.
• Strong knowledge of aging and disabled populations.
• Creative, dynamic, and engaging personality with a willingness to innovate.

Compensation:

• Annual Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
