The Wound Care Nurse Manager Provides evaluation, teaching and training to staff, members/family or designated representatives on wound care management.
The Wound Care Nurse Manager collaborates with physicians and Chief Medical Officer to develop treatment plans for members with active wounds according to current wound care protocols; Monitors the effectiveness of current wound treatment plan and provides appropriate follow-up, direction and instruction to staff, members/family;Provides educational in-services when necessary.
Current New York State Registered Nurse License required. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Three (3) years of experience in an Acute Care setting required. Current Wound Care Certification. Staff development or adult instruction, and/or home care experience preferred. Knowledge of Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards for home care required. MS Office required. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees of the organization.
Compensation: $110,000-$125,000 Annually
