Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Nurse Educator to join our Nursing Department! The Nursing Educator will have the responsibility for assisting the coordination of education with the planning, implementing and evaluating orientation, in-service and continuing education programs. Manages and supervises the staff activities and ensures staff competencies in the delivery of care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this opportunity is required to possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor’s Degree or MSN from an accredited university preferred.  New York State RN License required.   A minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff nurse, a minimum of 1 year experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care facility or other related medical facility and a minimum of 1 year experience supervising and implementing nursing education programs.  As Primary Instructor for Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP), must have experience in teaching adults or supervising aides in the long-term care setting for a minimum of 1 year, or must have completed a course in teaching adults.  Knowledge of federal and state regulations.  Must be able to speak, write and read English. Strong clinical competencies, communications and writing skills and the ability to manage staff and resources required.

 

 

Compensation: Min. $118,000   Max. $121,000  Annually
