RiverSpring Health Plans, serves over 18,000 frail and disabled individuals who choose to live in their homes and live independently for as long as possible.  As a Director of Education you will be responsible for overseeing accuracy and timeliness of MLTC eligibility assessment data; oversee reviewers of assessments (UAS). Develop and educate processes for the clinical teams in adherence with regulatory requirements and clinical standards of practice.

Responsibilities

The role of the Director of Education at RiverSpring Health Plans Plans, will develop, direct, deliver, evaluate and coordinate education programs for the MLTC clinical staff. Will also oversee and manage the Nurse Educator Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator, including but not limited to workflow, hiring, terminating, disciplining, handling confidential correspondence, maintaining confidential employee relations information, and completing performance evaluations. Direct the preparation, scheduling and selection of instructional material, equipment and training aids to ensure effective in-service program are provided for staff.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Nursing degree required; Master degree preferred. Current New York State Registered Nurse License required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Acute Care setting preferred. Three (3) years teaching experience in a classroom or clinical setting, with experience in staff development or adult instruction required. Knowledge of Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards for home care required. Knowledge in Health Commerce system and UAS-NY required. Three (3) years of supervisory experience required. MS Office required.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

 

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 Annually
